ŞENEL: 784 BİLİM İNSANI BİYOKÜTLE SANTRALLER ZARARLI DİYOR

İnşaat Mühendisi Murat Şenel, Biyokütle santrallerin Zararlarına Dikkat Çekti

Özgür İfade Gazetesi ÖZEL HABER-Maltepe/İSTANBUL. Biyokütle santrallerinin çevreye vereceği zararlar konusunda araştırma yapan İnşaat Mühendisi Murat ŞENEL; Avrupa Parlamentosu üyelerine hitaben yazılmış bir mektuba dikkat çekti.

Avrupa Birliğini son çıkardıkları biyokütle santrallerinin desteklenmesinin engellemesi amacıyla uyaran ve bu konuda açılmış çok sayıda davanın da takipçisi olan 784 bilim adamı, ekonomist ve iş adamı tarafından imzalanan mektupta biyokütle santrallerin dünyamız için ne büyük felaketlere yol açacağını dikkat çektiğini ifade eden Şenel belgenin içeriğine ilişkin şunları söyledi;

”Bu belge Avrupa Parlamentosunda görevli üyelere hitaben yazılmış olup çok sayıda ödüllü bilim adamının da aralarında bulunduğu (Nobel ödüllü iki bilim adamı ve yine uluslar arası ödüllü iki uzman da imzalamıştır), çeşitli kesimlerden insanların ve referans insanların imzaladığı bir belgedir.”

Temel olarak Avrupa Birliği sınırları içinde sıklıkla Kanada ve Amerika’dan getirilen palet şeklindeki ağaç ve odun atıklarının yakılmasıyla biyokütle enerji santralleri çalıştırılmaktadır diyen Şenel;

”Dolayısıyla dünyanın orman popülasyonlarının yok edilmesi ve Avrupa ülkelerine bu ürünlerin satılması küresel iklim değişikliğini azaltmak yerine uzun vadede artıracak bir sistemdir. Çünkü ormanların kesilmesi sonucunda karbon tutma kapasitesi azalmaktadır. Ormanların yaşı ilerledikçe karbon tutma kapasiteleri de artar. Yani kesilen ağaçların yerine yenilerinin yetiştirilmesi sonucunda biyokütlenin karbon nötr kabulü palavradan ibarettir.”

”İşte Avrupa’da yapılan numara, para kazanan şirketlerin kömür yerine karbon emisyonlarını azaltmak için buldukları bir yanıltıcı yoldur. Kömür yakan kazanlar çok küçük maliyetlerle odun ve orman atıklarını yakacak hale getirilmektedir. Sonuçta pahalı yatırımlar yerine daha ucuz bir şekilde karbon nötr yalanları ile dünya üzerinde yer alan ormanlar kesilecek ve uzun vadede çok ciddi karbon dioksit artışı görülecektir.”

Bu durma seyirci kalmayan bilim insanlarının harekete geçtiğini belirten Şenel;
”Bunu gören dünya çapındaki uzmanlar ve çevre örgütleri temsilcileri, ekonomistler, iş adamları Avrupa Birliği Parlamentosu üyelerine bu uygulamalardan uzaklaşılması ve biyokütlenin kullanılmasının kısıtlanması için mektup yazmışlardır. Tercümesi aşağıda yer almaktadır.” dedi.

Avrupa Parlamentosu Üyelerine,
Avrupa Parlamentosu, yenilenebilir enerji direktifini övgüye değer bir şekilde genişletmek için harekete geçerken, Parlamento üyelerini, dünyanın ormanlarına büyük zarar vermekten ve iklim değişikliğinin hızlanmasından kaçınmak için mevcut direktifi değiştirmeye şiddetle davet ediyoruz. Direktifteki kusur, ülkelerin, elektrik santrallerinin ve fabrikaların enerji için ağaçları yakmak üzere kasten kesmeleri için yenilenebilir enerji hedeflerine kredi talep etmelerine izin veren hükümlerde yatmaktadır. Çözüm, direktif kapsamında uygun orman biyokütlesini kalıntı ve atıklarla sınırlandırmak olmalıdır.

On yıllardır Avrupalı ​​kağıt ve kereste ürünleri üreticileri, odun atıkları ve sınırlı orman artıkları kullanarak faydalı yan ürünler olarak elektrik ve ısı ürettiler. Bu atık malzemelerin çoğu birkaç yıl içinde ayrışıp karbondioksiti serbest bırakacağından, fosil yakıtların yerini almak için bunları kullanmak, birkaç yıl içinde atmosfere net karbondioksit emisyonlarını da azaltabilir. Aksine, biyoenerji için ağaçların kesilmesi, aksi takdirde ormanlarda kilitli kalacak olan karbonu açığa çıkarır ve aksi takdirde ahşap ürünler için kullanılan ahşabı başka yöne çevirmek, bunların yerini alacak başka yerlerde daha fazla kesime neden olur.

Ormanların yeniden büyümesine izin verilse bile, yakmak için kasıtlı olarak hasat edilen odun kullanılması atmosferdeki karbonu artıracak ve onyıllar ve yüzyıllar boyunca ısınmaya neden olacaktır – birçok çalışmanın gösterdiği gibi – odun kömür, petrol veya doğal gazın yerini alsa bile. Sadece karbon için değil, küresel ormanlar ve biyolojik çeşitlilik için de olumsuz etkiler büyüktür. Genişletilmiş yenilenebilir enerji direktifinin yalnızca üçte birini sağlamak için Avrupa’nın yıllık odun hasadının% 100’ünden fazlasına ihtiyaç duyulacaktır. Odun ve kağıda olan talep devam edeceğinden, sonuç dünya çapında ormanların daha fazla bozulması olacaktır. Avrupa’nın diğer ülkeler için belirleyeceği örnek daha da tehlikeli olacaktır. Avrupa, Endonezya ve Brezilya gibi ülkeleri ormanlarını korumaları için gerektiği gibi teşvik ediyor, ancak bu direktifin mesajı “birisi enerji için yaktığı sürece ormanlarınızı kesin”. Ülkeler bu tür çabalara yatırım yaptıktan sonra, hatayı düzeltmek imkansız hale gelebilir. Dünya, küresel enerjinin yalnızca% 3’ünü odunla sağlamak için hareket ederse, dünyadaki ormanların ticari kesimlerini ikiye katlaması gerekir.

1850’ye gelindiğinde, biyoenerji için ahşabın kullanılması, Avrupalılar bugün olduğundan çok daha az enerji tüketirken bile Batı Avrupa’nın neredeyse ormansızlaşmasına yardımcı oldu. Kömürün Avrupa ormanlarını kurtarmaya yardımcı olmasına rağmen, kömürün yerini almanın çözümü ormanları yakmak yerine fosil yakıtları güneş ve rüzgar gibi düşük karbonlu kaynaklarla değiştirmektir. Avrupalı ​​yasa koyucuları, uygun orman biyokütlesini uygun şekilde tanımlanmış kalıntı ve atıklarla sınırlandırmak için mevcut yönergeyi değiştirmeye çağırıyoruz çünkü dünyadaki ormanların çoğunun ve ikliminin kaderi tam anlamıyla tehlikede.”

Bu durumun Türkiye açısından önemine ve aciliyetine işaret eden Şenel özetle şunları söyledi:
– Bu mektupta bilim insanları özetle enerji ormanlarının yapılması ve çok uzak mesafelerden atık toplayıp yakılmasının önlenmesi istenmektedir.
– Halen Çarşamba Biyokütle Santrali depo sahasında çok sayıda orman ağacının kesilerek yakılmak üzere getirildiği görülmektedir.
– Ülkemizde de durum bu şekildedir. Çarşamba ovasından bu yakıtın sağlanması mümkün olmayacaktır. Dolayısıyla ovada kavak ve söğüt gibi ağaçların geniş alanlarda yetiştirilmesi sonucu ortaya çıkacaktır.
– Görüldüğü üzere Çarşamba ovasında kesilecek ağaçlar ve orman ürünlerinin örnekleri şu anda şirketin depo alanlarında mevcuttur. Gürgen ağaçları bile gözle görülebilmektedir. Ancak hiç bir yetkilinin bu konuda halkın uyarılarına rağmen sahaya gidip kontrole yanaşmamaları ise ilgi çekicidir.
– Ayrıca kilometrelerce uzaklıktan ovaya yakmak üzere atıkları getirmek karbon nötr yalanının daha da açık bir ifadesidir. Çünkü karbon nötr ifadesi, santralin olduğu yörede etrafta yer alan ağaçların yakılması sonucu yıllardır tuttuğu iddia edilen karbon kadar havaya karbon salınacağı görüşüne dayanır.
– Ancak ağaçların yaşı ne kadar büyürse karbon tutma miktarı da artar. Ayrıca tarım ürünlerinin tümünün ve ağaçların topraktan uzaklaştırılması sonucu toprakta tutulan karbon da yüzeye salınacaktır. Bunun yanında Çarşamba ovasındaki ağaçlar kışın yaprağını döken ağaçlardır. Yani dışarıdan taşınan atıkların 365 gün 24 saat yakılması sonucu çıkacak karbon miktarı, 6 ayda yetişecek ağaçların tutacağı karbon miktarının çok üzerindedir.
– Şirketin herkesi gezmeye götürdüğü Çorum Mecitözü’ndeki santral ile Çarşamba’daki santral karşılaştırılacak olursa büyük bir tutarsızlık ortaya çıkmaktadır. Madem karbon nötr için şart yakın yerdeki odun ve atıkların yakılması ise Mecitözü ovasında santralin etrafında hemen hiç ağaç bulunmadığı görülmektedir. Mevsimlik ekilen buğday ve diğer hububatın da karbon tutma oranları oldukça düşüktür.
– Proje tanıtım dosyasında ise bu yönde herhangi bir karbon tutma hesabının yapılmadığı da görülmektedir. Yani karbon nötr doğru ise Mecitözü ovası kısa sürede yol olacaktır. Şayet orman ve ağaç gerekli değil ise Çarşamba ovasındaki tesisin de yeri yanlıştır, dağ başında ormansız bir araziye yapılması daha uygundur, ifadelerine yer verdi.
